Evanston CDC is the only organization working for the comprehensive
revitalization of the Westside: physically, economically, and in spirit. We
help residents to build their individual assets and businesses to grow and
expand. We thank you for your generous support in helping us continue our
important work in reclaiming the Westside.

• ECDC is pursuing funding to continue and expand our pilot microenterprise
  program into a revolving loan fund. An equipment loan for one
  microentrepreneur is $2,000.
• Support our GED Classes! We collaborate with Boocoo Cultural Center &
  Oakton Community College to offer free GED classes to area residents. The
  cost of one class term for one student is $60.
  
• Support workforce development with our construction skills training
  program. One additional unemployed resident can be trained for $5,000.
  
• Support our computer classes! We offer free computer classes for beginners
  in Microsoft Word, Internet, PowerPoint, Job Skills, & one-on-one tutoring.
  The teaching and materials cost for one class session is $50.
  
• Support our West End Market! Twenty weeks of fresh food coupons per family
  is $100.
  
• Unite against crime and violence through our National Night Out Community
  Picnic & Candlelight Vigil. Cost of event: $3000
  
• Support entrepreneurship training for ex-offenders. One entrepreneurship
  coaching session is $50.
